Keen Aventure Tips

Not just home to the best wheelchairs, cushions, crutches, canes, walkers and more.

It is always an honor and privilege to serve you. As we are launching our new website I got to thinking about what I would share with you to articulate Keen®'s goal to be the best health care company in the world. The following story came to mind.

For the last twelve months I've listened to hundreds of people say, "I can’t get a bed" or "I can't get a wheelchair" as a result of Medicare's competitive bid process. I’ve also heard from Social Services staff that providers are six weeks out in supplying the equipment needed for their customers. The impact of these comments didn't hit fully home until recently, when I struck up a conversation with a customer sitting in a newly purchased wheelchair in our showroom. She said, "I worked hard and long during my life. After I retired I always thought that I would get the very best healthcare, because I looked at every paycheck and paid special attention to what I contributed to Medicare. Never could I have imagined being in the situation I am in today, where my healthcare expenses are going to bankrupt me……"

Oh boy, did her comments hit home! They reinforced and validated one of the primary reasons I founded Keen®: to assist the injured, elderly and disabled by providing the best available medical equipment and services, at an affordable price. Our Promise: Keen® will always put YOU first. We grew from providing basic durable medical equipment to including almost all products and supplies for long term, hospital, foster, assisted living, home health and hospice care settings. We provide medical equipment & supplies, rental and service. Increasing safety, mobility and comfort is a central goal for Keen.

Keen® has also founded two non-profits: Incight.org and Handicrap.org. Personally, I do a lot of motivational and handicrap speaking for conferences and companies nationwide. Please feel free to use me in this capacity. Welcome to those of you who are new to Keen. I am pleased to introduce you to our team, our products, our prices, our services and our dedication to YOU. Please feel free to let me know what you think at vhorton@keenhealthcare.com. We are really passionate in all that we do.

Thank you so much for your continued support and partnership. Keen® is truely your creation, so please continue to give us your feedback, your needs, and even your wishes. Thank you for you and all you do. Onward and Upward,

How having no middle man can make the "Impossible" happen.

The term "middleman" has long since been coined to describe an intermediary between a producer and an end customer. In a typical distribution channel, the middleman is the wholesaler or the retailer. Often with the cost of having to use an outside manufacture the products or goods become unaffordable for many of the companies intended clientele. As manufacturers we here at Keen® Healthcare can eliminate this middleman by selling products directly to you; our valued consumers. This allows us to offer the best products on the market for a cost that others cannot match; often enabling customers to acquire the products that they previously thought impossible. It is incredibly pleasing for us that we have built our company to the point that this is now achievable. As a brand we have achieved one of the biggest initial goals we had as a new and up-and-coming entity in the vast world of healthcare. We can now assist you; the public in acquiring the healthcare aids that you truly need, want, and deserve.

We hope you take advantage of the savings we happily pass down to you. We understand that life is complicated on its own without the stress of overpriced yet much needed life and mobility aids. That is why we strive to make our products easy to purchase, easy to assemble, and even easier to use. Quality of life is also among our most emphasized ideals here at Keen; one only has to browse our store to see that it pours through in the development of each and every one of our revolutionary products.

We here at Keen want you to know that Live Happy™ is not just our company slogan; it is an idea that we all believe in and strive towards, not only for ourselves and our families, but for you too. Please come in and see us at one of our three locations and to tour our site and store.
